Help with spares for ignition system
Hi
I'm having a really hard time working out what spares I need for my sons car, as we're not entirely sure if the correct parts have been fitted Is there a spares archive/library one can access to determine the correct part numbers? For example, one parts supplier mentioned that the distributor cap part number I gave him (taken from the cap fitted to the distributor, attached to the engine) is incorrect, suggesting the wrong cap is fitted A parts website lists different bosch numbers for distributor caps, that "fit your vehicle" Anyhoo, I'm getting a bit frustrated, so any advice, hints and tips appreciated Vehicle is a 1975 280SE, D Jet, M110.985 engine (australian delivered) Cheers |

On the distributor will be found a Bosch identification plate.
Record the model #; it will begin 0 231 (or similar). Enter that number in a search engine. You should be able to determine if the distributor model and the car year/model are a match. You can then order spares by either distributor model, or car model. |
