Sunroof part for W123 300D
Help!! I just picked up a 1978 W123 300D and days before delivery the seller let someone monkey with the sunroof and naturally they messed it up. I'm trying to find the part missing in the below photo. It appears to be a bushing for an arm that pushes the roof up as it snaps in place. I've attached 2 photos. The white plastic bushing-like piece is what looks like I'm missing but there could be more. Anyone know anything about this assembly?

You'll probably have to go to the dealer in order to see if the bushing is available separately, or if you have to purchase the bracket.
In the meantime, maybe you can go to your local Ace or TrueValue Hardware, and find a rubber "hole grommet" that's close enough inside that you can get grommet nicely mounted into the bracket and then get the pin back into position. There are also flanged, plastic bushings at these types of hardware stores, so you might find one of those that you can epoxy in place, either temporarily, or if it's a nice fit, permanently.
