W114 A/C compressor Pulley

Hello all, does anyone know how many different size pulleys they used on the A/C compressors in the w114? Car is a 76 280 .. tried two different size pulleys so far and they both are still too big to work in the car.. they both bolt right up to compressor but the pulley is hitting something cause they are too large in circumference.. car is at shop now.. any help greatly appreciated

Try rotating the arm that the pulley attached to in the other direction to tighten the belt...been there, have the T-shirt... don't ask...

What brand of compressor do you have? If your car was destined for the US market, your compressor is most likely a York, and they had a pulley larger than most in diameter.

Just re-read the OP's post, he's talking about the compressor pulley. My comment was about the belt tensioner, sorry.
