The prime pump operates fine fills filter canister and pump. Do I have a damaged pump? Or just a case of excessive air? Generally, to bleed the air from the steel injector lines, you fill both sides of the pump by removing the fitting for the inlet fuel source, filling that cavity, and reinstalling the fitting, and doing the same with the fuel return fitting and cavity. Once the pump is "full" internally, it will begin to "suck in" fuel from the fuel tank, and pressurize fuel to the injectors. You then crack 2 injector fittings loose, at the injectors, but leave the other 2 snug (you do every other injector, not 2 that are next to each other). Hop in the car, hold your foot to the floor to cause the injection pump to supply "full throttle fuel volume" and crank the engine over for about 15 seconds. Then snug up the loosened injector fittings, loosen the other 2, and repeat. Snug the other 2 back up, and then start the car using full throttle while cranking, and of course, a full cycle of the glow plugs. It will typically fire right up. It may fire up and die, but you just repeat the starting procedure and it should run after that. Bleeding is all about fuel volume, hence the pre-filling of the pump, and the use of full throttle.

Try the above and a "known new fresh" fuel supply isolated from the fuel tank and lines. The fuel lines and/or the screen in the tank may be blocked.
Be careful not to overheat the starter whilst cranking. Give it cooling periods.
