W114 250c 1972 - Stalling Issue Zenith Carbs M130
Hi, I just purchased a 250c and have been running into an issue with stalling once started and warmed up. Once warm will start on starting fluid and stay running if applying throttle though when letting off will stumble and die. I am thinking this is a fuel issue and I've cleaned the clear filter in the engine bay and blow tested it. I read that mechanical pumps either work or don't, no in-between. Vacuum assisted idle seems to be working as plunger moves though I believe a carb rebuild is in order. Wondering if anyone has any ideas as I'm trying to just get the car moved at the moment and would prefer not to flat bed. Spark is good as it runs for a while if not started for a bit though eventually dies. Was running as if it would stay running then died when shifted into reverse. I just think there is a fuel issue as it will start great off starting fluid. I did spray some carb cleaner around. Not a lot of info on the forums compared to the w123 diesel I had. Any advice would be appreciated!
