Key and Ignition Lock on 1958 219 (W105)
I just acquired a 1958 219 W105 in Maryland USA. It only has 18,000 miles and hasn’t run in almost 20 years. But it is in very good original condition.
First problem. No key. Steering locked. 2) How hard is it to unbolt the ignition key/locking mechanism. It will be a lot easier to get a key made with it out and be able to steer it out of the garage. |

The Dealer/Classics Center can probably make the key if you provide VIN and proof of ownership.
You can use ebay to look at both the ignition assembly, as well as what the key looks like, along with the model number for the key. Maybe it would be more efficient to use a local lock smith to make a key and pay for that service call, if a key is needed asap.
