ercedes Service CD

Hello List,

Thanks for all your good advice.
I would like to know if is worth it to buy the Mercedes Service CD for my 1972 280se 4.5? I have a book that is good but does not contain everything. I am looking for a complete guide for my car. With everything explained. Will the CD`s do that.

thanks

cK

The CD contains the book you have plus the owners manual, engine manual and some other manuals I can't recall in the morning fog. Basically the CD's are scanned from hard copies of the manuals. Word of note, but you probably already know, the Mercedes manuals aren't a step by step type book like Haynes/Chiltons, they assume the person reading/working has some idea what they are doing (meant for the mechanics).

The CD's are a good start but you should get the Haynes and Chilton or Clymers as well. No reason not to as one book will not do it all. IF you are not familair with cars then get a Mechanics for Dummies book and do some searches online for car tips. I have found everything that I needed online or in a book for the most part.. it truly is amzing and anything else can be answered here most likely.
