Parts requests: 116 chassis, 126 chassis, m116 and m117

I made up my mind - I'm going back to that 450SE in the junkyard for more stuff!
I'm hoping I can get the master cylinder and the bundt cakes.

Anyone want any small things I can grab while I'm there?

There's still a 420SEL there as well. Don't know what might be left on it but I assume that it'll still be there (it has been there since October at least though, so its time may be running short). Fuel distributor is gone, I took the (ignition) dizzy off it last week if anyone needs one. Tranny's gone, coil's out, don't know what else but the engine looks to be pretty whole still (though the valve covers were pilfered, so the cams/rockers are undesireable due to rust!)

The 450SE is still really whole. Other than what I grabbed from it (PS pump, coil, resistors, temp sensors, injectors) and the guy before me managed to get (dizzy, MAP sensor) it seems to be very intact.

If you want like a chrome piece or molding or something I can grab it but no big requests (like a crank! ) (note: I updated this because I'm NOT going tomorrow, the high is going to be 16!)

The 450SEL has the whole climate control systemm doesn't it? I am in need of the whole lever mechanism that is in my 4.5. Do either one of these have working radios in them? I am in need of that also. How much would it cost for me to get those from you?
Thanks
Tim

Tim, you need w108 heater levers. W116 CC wouldn't work, and only God would know how you could get one of those in there.

Unfortunatley, David is correct... the 116's entire climate control IS still there, but not only would it not fit, it'd be a ***** to remove

As for the radio, the original Becker casette (model unknown to me) is in there on the driver's seat - its faceplate is missing and it's sitting in snow, otherwise I'd have grabbed it. If you want to take a chance, I can grab it, but I would think there's at least some rust in the mechanics, if it does somehow still work.

When are you going to the yard Tomguy? I think I may need a climate control piece, but I am getting ready right now to test mine. Who knows, they may have parked it becasue it needed CC work!
Thanks
David

I think the essential item for 116 HVAC is under the hood on passenger side.... itsa ridiculously complicated junk-box thing that includes electronic heat sensors and vaccuum/mechanical servo valve senders for channeling coolant..... first series of brain child, crackpot engineered, automatic climate control.

I bought a used servo from from Jim Harris and it has worked well. I think my aux. pump has stopped working so Jim is trying to find me one and also trying to find one for my dad's 300E.
Thanks
David

Trivia - the "ridiculously complicated" heater servo was actually developed by Chrysler and used in their 1970's cars.
