Obtain a vacuum gauge and T it into the line to the transmission (comes down from the plastic valve on the back of the IP). See what the vacuum is at idle...........then see what it is when you drive it with varying pedal positions. See what the vacuum is at maximum pedal position.

Thanks I will do what you suggested and go ahead and do a fluid/filter change as well. I will report back as soon as it is all done.
But as to the oil consumption, the oil pressure has dropped from 3 to 2 in the past week and it looks as if i am a quart to 2 quarts low. I will perform a filter and oil change for this as well. I will monitor the level and report back on it to find out if it is normal. I get the feeling my pcv and intake mods could be the culprit as it is set up to vent to atmoshere however the valve cover appears to be leaky.
Looks like I am gonna have a busy Sunday.
