Hi,
I have to date spent close to $2000 on repairs, I am no closer to an solution. My local MB repair guy said we will work through the problems till we find the fault.
The car has 150 000km (92 000miles) on it, it takes 4 tries of up to 4 seconds each to start, and then it starts slow. The idling is like one big misfire, it is very rough, almost like it runs on 6 cylinders only. Here is the problem, it is intermittend, does not idle bad all the time. If it comes to a stop at a light, it will start missing after 2 or three seconds only of idling (once the revs comes down) Once you punch the accelerator it goes just fine, touch the pedal slowly and not much happen, you need to really go down 2/3 to get response. Needless to say very heavy on gas.

We replaced the following, Crank sensor, cleaned the pick up on the crank too, the rotors and distributor caps, plugs, both coils. Checked fuel presure and replaced filters. Next is the engine wiring harness, a further $1000 next week......
Any advice...PLEASE....?
