'86 is the W124, if if is a Euro, it has already been through the EPA/DOT certification, and is in your area for sale right?

Hardly any cars came into the USA after 1986 because the value of the DM changed as regards the US Dollar, and it would not make sense to think of bringing an '86 over her because the cost of importing it would be far far more than its market value. see www.foreignborn.com

If it really is a good one and the conversion has been done well it might be worth a look, if the price is good. (I don't know much about the W124 diesels, though
