Tell us what the spark plugs are, usually you are way better off going with the stock plug and gap. If they are the proper plugs, then probably it needs valve stem seals.
Read the owners manual in regards to how/when the center vents will work and also in regard to the recirc, there is only certain times the recirc will work, and I suspect you aren't doing it right (I think only works in max AC)
