I replaced the auxilary fan in my '83 300CD last night and I have the old fan in the trunk. The motor is bad - brushes are worn.

BTW - removing and replacing that aux fan is much more difficult than anticipated, and I did leave a good bit of knuckle-skin on the condenser.

Is anyone aware of whether a brush kit for these motors exists? If so, I want to fix the motor and keep the fan just in case the one I just put in the car should fail.
