This year 300SD has the dreaded Climate Control Servo and is noted as a PITA. It can be a source of trouble for discharging the battery. The servo motor is supposed to search for "home" position when you shut the engine down. Home position removes power to the servo motor;if it does not find home position there will be current draw from the battery.The servo is big bucks. Good luck Willie (Poor Soul)
