i do understand the calculation for resistance and the capacitor. disconnecting the rear door is a good idea but i have learned that access to the speaker would be very difficult and i wont take it to the dealer for removal and replacement. if i knew where the "splitter" was, i could disconnect it there, but i dont. the other issue is that the amp will see a load that is way to low and because it is not stable at that load, it will clip and surely fry speakers, at least that is what i think. you didnt address the questions in the original post. could you look at those and give me your opinion? thanks for the input..
PS, have you seen the infinity 10"sub/enclosure/amp? it is very compact and looks like it would work well. it may be something that i will consider when i get the CLK 55..thanks again..
