late cold shifting question

hello all, now that its finally gotten cold here in MD ive noticed my gfs 240d shifts late in all gears when its been sitting for a long time, not really a big deal since it shifts very smooth once warmed up, however i like to avoid revving the engine until ive given it a good chance to warm up so i was wondering if adding a little trans fluid or somthing like that might help... the level looks fine but they can be a little difficult to read. im only going to worry with it if its somthing easy otherwise ill just give it more time to warm up in the mornings
