late cold shifting question
hello all, now that its finally gotten cold here in MD ive noticed my gfs 240d shifts late in all gears when its been sitting for a long time, not really a big deal since it shifts very smooth once warmed up, however i like to avoid revving the engine until ive given it a good chance to warm up so i was wondering if adding a little trans fluid or somthing like that might help... the level looks fine but they can be a little difficult to read. im only going to worry with it if its somthing easy otherwise ill just give it more time to warm up in the mornings

My 77 has always done that. Letting up off the accelerator makes it shift sooner in mine. I like that.

yeah it always waits to go 1-2 2-3 when cold unless you let off, but im talking wont shift until fairly high in the rev range, letting off just slows the car down, im pretty sure its just because of the cold weather, i just know my gf isnt as gentle as i am so i was wondering if theres something obvious it could be

It's my understanding that it's designed into the vehicle.
