The whole a/c system is bad on a Mercedes. Bad fans, bad regulators, bad components, bad flappers, bad freon lines, etc. I think the lines on a Mercedes are metal, when the japs went with the better choice of aluminum. Jap a/c's will basically throw ice cubes at you, very good for here in the south. Mercedes, even when working well, just don't cool that well. Barely adequate.

MB should have offered a cheap fix for their poor design, but they never did.
