i searched the diy articles and couldn't find any info...no luck with google either...someone help me out. i changed the engine mounts and it improved the idle and the noise 100%. with a step by step or link. when i shift there is a clunk and when i go over a bump i can feel the stickshift seesawing in my hand until the car settles again...would that be the mount? i drove 30 miles at 65-70mph and when i got off the interstate there was a kinda high pitched grinding noise when i accelerated (but only when i accelerated in gear and not in neutral...and not at all when coasting but quieter when decelerating? transmission, driveshaft, what????? thanks.

man these old benzes handle so nice and just float along...they make new cars just feel wrong somehow. i have a wrangler (tj) and it is like night and day between the two...the benz is just luxurious feeling.
