Some one jumped the 300d 1980 and the battery started to smoke. Now it wont take a charge. I changed out the voltage regulator and put a used alternator in.
It still doesn't take a charge and the glow plug relay buzzes when i try to start it . I removed the battery cables last night and charged the battery. this morning still no juice . dimm lights on the dashboard. the glow plug light blinks also. any Ideas out there. I'd hate to start buying alternators and a glow plug relay. 1980 is a different and more expensive relay. $291.00 Ray (can G P relays be fixed)
