You may be right, maybe I just can't see the threads, I wish I could find that bolt so I could try to screw it in. The thing that worries me is the bulbed part of that rod is what was fitted in, almost like it is press fitted in rather than screwed in. This pump was off a 350sdl so apparently there were minor differences from my old pump.
