The shroud is held in place by slots in the bottom of the rad in which bayonet plungers attached to the shroud slide down into. ON the top it is held by a rubber spacer folded over and a metal clip that just pushes down over the rubber. To get it completely off I think you have to remove something else like the fan blade.
It is so simple once you figure it out you will just chuckle.
