The M46 was available on the early 740 and 760 Turbos, and some 740s, and the later 240 Turbos. It's an OK box with an add on electrically controled overdrive bolted on the back.

How about a T5 from a Mustang? You would need a manual trans bellhousing, an adapter plate and driveshaft adapter.
