Holding for now

I put Waterweld on the leak this afternoon, and it seems to be holding.
I'm bidding on a used servo with the aluminum bottom housing, so hopefully that will work if this one totally fails.
I'm trying to avoid spending $650 on the digital upgrade for now.

When replacing it, can i just drain my coolant, disconnect the hoses, the wire harness, unbolt it and yank it out ?

Will I need to adjust the new unit to be in sync with my thumbwheel ?
