I was driving back from class, and noticed that the traffic was kind of light on the highway. Doing about 65-70 in the center and all of a sudden I notice a pretty nice W140 vintage CL500 blow past me like I'm sitting still. Should I bite? So hard to resist, must be good!
Well right behind him was an X3, and an A6, all screaming. So I say F it and go. An A8 comes up behind me. So we have a little uberfest going on in the left lane. Black CL500 clearing the way, followed by a black X3, followed by a black A6, followed by my blue SDL, and a brand new A8 in dark silver bringing up the rear. Were doing 90..95..100... with just about no space between all of us, convoy.
Nothing says get the **** out of my way like a W140 coming down on you FAST!
Our little German convoy cruised for about 10 miles clearing the left lane and passing other cars like they were parked, before breaking up. Eventualy one of the Audi's got off, the CL500 and the other A6 found an open spot and went deep into the triple digits leaving me and the BMW behind.
I know Jim's in Atlanta, maybe he got his hands on a CL500.
