Just disconnect the big connector from the front side of the SBC unit. I wouldn't open any doors while working, either. IIRC, there's a plastic lock on the connector that slides open to unlock, and then is slud shut to lock it back when you're done. (I remember Dizzy Dean) You DO NOT want to break this. There's likely a cable tie that makes working with this difficult--I haven't cut mine but you might have to.
