The AT&T rep tried to activate the phone but he couldn't get the proper code from their computer system. They were the ones that told me that Mercedes would have to handle it. He then called their tech support and that person was going to try to get an exception so that the local AT&T rep could enter a code to activate the phone. They haven't come back with an answer yet. The phone is a Mercedes Motorola Timeport model # P8097 and I think that should work with the AT&T network. Is there some technical jargon I need to use to explain to them what is needed to activate the phone? I just don't think AT&T knows how to deal with this system because there aren't that many around here.
