LeSabre for 300SD

To the dismay of many, I joined the small clique of forum members who have purchased Buicks in the past couple of years.

I damaged my SD's transmission last May and my wife convinced me that one hobby car (240D) was enough. So, I purchased a LeSabre the Saturday after damaging the Mercede's tranny.

I have skillfully procrastinated selling the 300SD for many, many months.

During this time I have been driving my '05 LeSabre. Cold a/c, roomy, comfortable, runs on regular gas, and XM/Sirus radio. Love the radio's political shows, Live MLB games and the Grateful Dead channel.

Nice car, dull, and she doesn't communicate with the road the way the SD did. Plus the SD's sunroof rocked.

So, I call my mechanic Pierre today to ask him if he is going to the Central Florida GTG and long story short he introduces me to David XXXXXX. A very nice guy bitten by the Mercedes diesel bug and David buy's the 81 'SD with full and open disclosure of the transmission problem.

After four years and trips as far west as Palm Desert, Cailif. and as far east as Brunswick, Maine the car is gone.

But I am comforted my the fact that David gives the impression that he will be an excellent caregiver and that the car's maintenance and repair will be performed by Pierre Hedary. And by the fact that I still own one diesel Benz.
