They NEVER break! And on the rare occasions that they do, doing the work myself is mind-numbingly simple. Used parts are also not hard to come by.

Relatively cheap diesel and biodiesel, and even cheaper WVO, are all readily available around here.

The fuel mileage is nearly as good, and in many cases BETTER, than many new cars, unless you're talking about the little death-trap go-karts like Smart Cars, Scions, etc....

Well, you barely have any miles on your diesels, so it's hard to accept that your experience represents the norm.
