Progression. From cold it became bronchitis. It can progress to pneumonia if you are not careful. Been there, done that, again and again.
Try asking for
Tussionex. Tastes like pina coladas. Boom Boom long time. 12 hrs. Much more gentle than the codine laced stuff.
BTW, when you feel so bad that you need an IV because you can't keep meds down and even getting some in the bathroom doesn't make you feel too much better, you have arrived at the lowest point. You are not there yet. Been there and done that, WITH the IV in the arm.
