On the other hand... IF he is dealing with a Delco R4 then at least he has NO OIL SUMP... so the amount of bad oil would be less than a normal type compressor... but I only deal with earlier models so I do not know what type compressor he has...
It is proper to hand flush all of them... just saying if that were overlooked for some reason an R4 would have less residual oil left over than most other designs.
