I have no interest in the illusion of security, which is why I would like to see all the screening crap dumped forthwith. That right there would save millions, perhaps billions that would be better spent in actual intelligence gathering and data mining. Of course that in itself will not work as long as our intelligence services remain a disjointed bunch of career beaurocracies guarding their own turf and putting political correctness before security.

I want the government to do it's damm job. Namely, get a clue and prosecute the war. That means stop wasting billions harassing the innocent and don't pretend airline companies need to foot the bill because the government is to damm incompetent to do so. Just how much were private airlines responsible for security during WWII? Not one damm cent I'd venture to say.

Security will never be absolute, no matter who is in charge. But twice since 911 it's been shown loud and clear that the "billions" wasted on "security" are just that, "wasted". Only luck and the actions of passengers themselves averted two more disasters. Anybody who think's that the money flushed down the toilet of governmental incompetence under those circumstances is acceptable is so far removed from reality they may as well go live on an island.

Hopefully they have enough to purchase their own so that reality wont disturb their elysian world view.
