TnBob, I certainly think both ....or all four.... should be done at the same time..
but we are dealing with old cars... what if the PO had replaced one side ( having not listened to us.....LOL ) just before selling the car ?
I say measure both sides... if either needs replacing do both... and would probably need several other support items in there too... like the control rod bushings..
