On my car it looked like the shift shaft seal; it wasn't.

I'm not on the right computer or I'd check for you; probably memory says it was the B2 reaction piston seal. It was about $0.82 from the dealer, but took two hours to replace. Drop pan, drop valve body, remove shifter lever and switch. Push piston inwards about 1/2" 12 mm from outside, remove crusty/glassy old seal in pieces, install new seal, push piston back out from inside, reassemble. I did NOT lower the transmission at all.
