Front of pants holster (SmartCarry). He spun me around drew his weapon and order me spread eagle on the car. Reholstered his weapon, then stuck his hand in my pants, removed my weapon and threw it on the floor of the front passenger side. Told me I'd better not ever come out of a car with a weapon on me... He was an ass. What different is that from walking past him at the coffee shop with 24rds on my person? ... I even have two cops in the family. Cops are people too. Some are great, some are complete asshats.

What probably got RECORDED on HIS dashcam was the FACT that he didn't clear up a few things before he asked you out of the car. #1.) He didn't get your license; #2.) He didn't clear you first about whether you were armed or not...this is just for starters.
He was trying to CHA and if he was able to, I'm sure he "dicked" with the recorder in his car to obliterate (sp?) his screwup after he let you go...sorta' like the "Missing 18 Minutes" on those Nixon WH tapes from a few memorable years ago...
I know that if I had been you...while I had the window down, my hands would have been right out in the open for ANY OFFICER to see and I would have said to whoever it was WALKING UP TO MY CAR, "I have a CCP and I want you to be aware of that fact right now. And YES, I do have a weapone in this vehicle." Then I'd let HIM decide how we're going to dance, what tune he wants to dance to and I'll insist that he lead (pun narrowly being avoided here!), I'll follow ANYTHING he says...boots licked and shined...GOT IT!

Two doughnuts, coffee black...GOT IT!
I don't have a CCP yet, but I'm hoping by Nov., this State pulls its HOOIA, and we're able to move back into the common sense lane...hell, let Illinois and their criminals continue to run amok and the State (double-entendre'
and pun intended).
After reading these posts, I'm wondering how hard it would be today to purchase and wire in a few pin-hole cameras and feed them to a small, card-style recorder? Have it "tucked" into a small, reachable area under the dash and have the cameras hidden so that under normal circumstances, they're not noticeable?
I may have an upcoming project or three...
