sigh
ATF does not contain friction modifiers, it doesn't contain anything except hydraulic oil, detergent, and anti foam (surfactant)
In the transmission the detergent serves to carry all swarf and particulate matter and sludge to the filter, where it belongs.
It does not have friction modifiers, a diesel fuel injection pump IS a hydraulic pump, that is EXACTLY what it is, it differs from "regular" hydraulic pumps only in that output is metered.
Dexron V and later are, to be fair, slightly different, but with this forum full of people too cheap to buy a OEM oil filter twice a year, I can't see anyone ever buying a synthetic based ATF.
The irony of you asking for FACTS and decrying old wives tales, while spouting a load of nonsense theories....
