I just dont understand where the idea comes from that ATF is some magic elixer for engines.There seems to be some belief that is has a high detergent content which may or may not be true but if so i cannot imagine why it would as the trans has no combustion products to deal with,so what would the detergent be there for? The fact that it has the friction modifiers whatever they may be will keep it out of my injection pump and injectors.Would be interesting if some of the members here that really understand chemicals would do a litlle research here and come up with some FACTS on this old wives tale.Meanwhile no gambling on my fuel system. Don
