As for the cracked dash...

I happen to know of what I think is the correct dash for that car for sale in FL. It was listed on eBay months ago and didn't sell... I was recently in contact with the seller; it is still available, but it turned out to be the wrong type for my car (for some reason, the 300D has the later-style dash used in the W114 models, unlike the 240D which uses a 115 dash).

In any case, if you are interested drop me a PM and I'll send you the seller's email address. I think he wanted about $400 for the complete dash. While it looked OK in the pics he sent me, they weren't very good pics... caveat emptor.

For that price, i'll take three X.x

After seeing the progress on the car, the owner of the 220D is considering a moderate level restoration; front end rebuild, new dash, refreshing most of the visuals etc.

What would your preference be?
Would you guys keep some of the cosmetic fixings down to a minimum or go all out and make it perfect in every way?
