I just adjusted my valves and have boost set at 12psi. Needle shiver has nothing to do with anything other than pressure differential in the tubing. Mine shudders too  . If one were able to put liquid in the gauge/line, I believe it would virtually eliminate needle shudder due to a dampening effect. I have searched this and other diesel truck forums and everyone seems to confirm that - even with the more expensive boost gauges.
