Nah sailboats have a good righting arm, worst case you cut the lines and it will pop right back up. I think the point of no return on say a Swan 46 is 100-110 degrees, after that your going for a ride.

Good sailboats such as that one can roll past 90 degrees, he was probably oh 35-40.
