When you say it "stopped" can you be more specific? You were driving down the road a it just died?
If you are concerned whether you have the right pump you might consider reinstalling the old pump and try tow starting your car, unless you are totally sure it was a pump problem in the first place. Those pumps usually last the life of the car, then some.
