The injector pumps on these modern Mercedes are not designed to take serious punishment - in fact filling with petrol instead of diesel will be a serious problem if the petrol reaches the pump. SVO or WVO would probably kill them too. If you want the luxury, performance and speed of a newer MB don't expect it then to be "cheap" to run on old chip fat as well.

I've read about problems with bio diesel content added to diesel (in Europe - perhaps this is also done elsewhere?) that separates leaving a water content that causes corrosion... so don't not use 'em either.
I wouldn't use WVO or SVO on the 320, if I'm lucky enough to get one.

Thanks for the tip about biodiesel.

I once, bleary-eyed, put gas in my 300SDL. Luckily all my mechanic had to do was drain it, and it was fine. I do like the simplicity of the all mechanical 3.0 Litre.
