I really like the repairs you have done and I would like to do similar repairs to my 1989 420SEL.

What kind of welding are you doing to repair the rust on the body tubes?

I have never welded. Can a beginner do a decent weld on structural body points like the control arm attachment points?

My lower control arm body attachment points are heavily rusted and I would like to reinforce them with new metal. What specification of steel do you recommend?

Any and all advice and recommendations are sincerely appreciated.
