Question 300D Crawls at Acceleration

Hi There! Badly need help!
I replaced my manual 1977 123 series 240D with 300D engine (617 912), Auto Trans (722.118) and differential off a junkyard. The engine seems OK and starts easily in the mornings and revs up very well. The problem starts when I drive the car. When I try to drive it, it just crawls. The max speed that I get is about 35mph though I can feel the gear shifting. Even when the accelerator pedal is touching the floor board the engine rev is 'not' high at all.

The vacuum pipes are missing from the engine. I can see a black vac pipe going from the vac pump to the brake booster. There is a small plastic valve on top of the valve cover with 3 nozzles on it.

I can see a brown plastic disc type thing on a unit attached to the side of the injector pump with 2 vac pipe nozzles. There is another metal vac valve attached to the injector pump with just 1 nozzle for the vac pipe connection which I think is for shutting the engine off.

Can any one help me with suggestions as to why the car is not picking up speed, and, can can one guide me with schematics for the various vac pipes connections etc.

I am desperate to get the answers. Regards
