Give a thought to unplugging the EHA; when it is in the "neutral", limp home mode it is only slightly rich. Then adjust the mixture screw progressively in the lean direction (CCW). If the plug is still in the adjustment tower between the airflow sensor and the fuel dist., the easiest thing to do is to drill out the screws that retain the tower.

Alternatively, the fuel pressure regulator may be stuck, failing to return enough fuel to tank.
