Is it CPO?

Depends on whether is Certified Preowned byMerceddes Benz or not.

It would have been a VERY thorough going over if it is CPO.

I bought a 2011 e350 CPO sedan with 21k on the clock for about $47,000 just last August but traded it away for my new BMW 535 M Sport, on May 25, 2013.

Wholesale @32,250 then but I only got $31k in trade, because I guess $420 over invoice for the BMW was a steal and they wanted to get some $$$ back.

The car was relisted for sale, but with 39.5k on it, for $39,991 though it needed in 500 more miles, the 40k $1500 major service when I traded, but a friend who lives near the BMW store says it's already gone and sold to someone.

That said, IF it's a CPO unit your friend got, it's a good deal. The cabrio's are worth lots more than the sedans, and cost lots more when new.

Most of them are lease returns (What did the CARFAX or Autocheck report say?

RBM of Atlanta is a huge MB dealer, and they get first crack at lease returns, and can cherry pick the best lease returns and trade ins.

But the 2011s have an excellent engine, the 3.5 V6, though for 2011 you got 279 hp, the 2012s have 300 hp.....
