Hold the phone... I just pulled the engine from 1984 300D Turbo yesterday and I'm a bit confused here.

1) I never undid any 6 MM bolts anywhere. My sockets only go down to 7 mm because I've lost the rest, and I never felt that loss. As far as I could tell, those Allens were the things holding the engine in, and nothing else (with the exception of the engine shocks, and those nuts are 10 mm with the holding point at the bottom of the shock being 7 mm).

2) That transmission (or rear engine) mount does not have any holding nut in the turbo versions -- that was just resolved here.
