Thanks! ill get it going eventually. May try that and see what happens. Ive also used WD-40 in locks before as well.

The one time the fiance test drove the car so far, she broke that valet key.
Instantly too, was amazing to me. The key was a little cracked and before I could get out "be careful", she broke the end off.

Update is the car passed inspection! repairs are no longer under such a time crunch, now I can take my time and work on stuff with some wiggle room.
