I'm ~500 miles from home, so when I go back to visit it's around 9-10hrs on the road, again-a place to sit a drink without having to fuss with it constantly.

I don't have cupholders on the motorcycle however

Plus, it's a great place to store screws while I take 6 months to replace a bulb behind the heater controls, etc.
I can kind of envisage the practicality of a cup holder if you needed to drink and drive - but why drink and drive? You're only gonna have to stop to take a leak!
