Then they moved out to the middle of Montana to get away from that. Last I heard their oldest daughter was having a shot-gun wedding. No where is "safe"!

Yeah, Wenatchee is pretty shady. I thought the big "drug conduit" was down in Mattawa though, at least from informal sources during my HS days in Wenatchee several years ago.
If you live in North Wenatchee though, and never venture below Orondo Street (down South, 123c will know these things) you'll have an image of a bucolic little town with a strip-mall mainstreet. Go south of there, and it's a whole 'nother world.
I'd feel much better living in Wenatchee than living in Tacoma, though. Want to talk about crime and general sketchiness?
